[HubSpot] How to Capture Names & Emails From Text Messages

Here's how to setup your integration with Hubspot to capture either a first name, last name, full name, or email address from text messages.

Integrating Call Loop with Hubspot

Step 1: Visit the Integrations Page in Call Loop

You can get to the new Integrations page in Call Loop by going to "Account > Integrations"

Find HubSpot in the list and click the Connect button.

If you have multiple sub accounts you will be asked to choose one after the initial log in.

Step 3: Success!

You are now connected and integrated with HubSpot to start using Call Loop. You can disconnect the integration at anytime by clicking the "Disconnect" button and this will stop any further integration with Call Loop.

NOTE: By disconnecting, this will cause all of your Groups, Triggers, and other messages to not function correctly.

Setting Up Your Call Loop Group

Step 1: Create a Group

The first step is to create a group in Call Loop. You won't need to select Integration for using text-to-join. Just give your group a title and press Create Group.

Step 2: Create an Immediate Follow-up (auto-reply)

You will need to create an immediate followup. This immediate message will be delivered to your contact right after they join your group.

On the 2nd step, you will select SMS and create your message which may ask for the field like email address.

"Thanks for registering. To confirm, please reply with your email address."

Provider: Select Hubspot as your provider. If you do not see it in this list, then you'll need to add the integration from your integrations page.

Add to List: Call Loop will add these new leads to your Hubspot Static List once the information is collected via text. You can create a new Static list in Hubspot by going to "Contacts > Lists" in your Hubspot account.

Phone Field: This is the field where Call Loop will store the collected mobile phone number of the contact.

Save Reply As: This is the field we will store the reply message into. For example, if you are collecting the email in a reply, then you'd select email. (Typically, this will be the "mobile phone number" field)

Step 3:  Turn Your Followup ON

Finally, turn your followup ON.

Step 4: Purchase Your Keyword

You will need to secure your keyword in order for people to start texting in to join. To see if your keyword is available, head over to the Keywords page.

Search For Your Keyword.

Start your search by putting in a word that represents your business, organization, or reason for the keyword.

If it's not available, our system will alert you. This means that someone other Call Loop customer already possesses this keyword.

Purchase Your Keyword.

If your keyword is available, click the link to purchase your keyword. From here, if you have your credit card on file, you can use this or enter in a new credit card to purchase this keyword on a monthly or yearly basis.

Step 5: Connect Your Keyword to Your Group

After you have purchased your keyword, you can now connect it to one of your Groups.

Now, when someone texts in your keyword to the phone number 38470, they will be added to your group.

Congratulations! You keyword is now active!

Step 6: Test Your Keyword

To test, send a text message to the phone number 38470 and the message should be your keyword. It is not case-sensitive.

Here's an example on how to send in your text message...
